Speculate DAO is a community-driven investment group powered by the $SPEC token. Our mission is to create long-term value for holders by investing in exciting Web3 projects, ensuring stability and sustainable growth, and giving back through altruistic initiatives.

Entrance Level – Student

This group consists of small holders who can ebb and flow with the market while learning and earning dividends simply for holding.
Earns dividends relevant to their holding amount between snapshots during each epoch.
Fully passive participation—no requirement to take action.
Opportunity to learn and grow into VIP status over time.
Enjoys the benefits of being part of a stable, growing investment community.

VIPs participate in early investment discussions.
Exclusive access to DAO proposal and voting rights – deciding on investments, marketing and fund allocations.
Freedom to lock or not.
Plays a key role in long-term stability by committing to the project philosophy. Important: If a VIP chooses to unlock their SPEC early, there is a 25% redemption penalty.
Alpha Level – Sage
500,000+ $SPEC
Alpha are the core leadership team of Speculate DAO and must lock at least 500,000 $SPEC (or more in 500,000 increments) while actively contributing to the project. Every VIP has an opportunity to enter the Alpha level if they wish to move from a mostly passive role into a role of consistent contribution.
Mandatory Locking to earn 8% APR (Minimum Lock: 2 Years)
Earns dividends relevant to their holding amount between snapshots during each epoch.
Alphas take on specific roles – research, operations, marketing, admin, investments, etc.
Attendance at meetings and execution of assigned tasks is required.
Receive 8% APR for their commitment and responsibilities.
Alphas vote on and approve new Alpha members.
They are the engine room of the DAO, driving strategy and execution.
Important: If an Alpha chooses to unlock their SPEC early, there is a 25% redemption penalty.
RESPONSIBLE TRADING & RESPECT
Speculate DAO initially operates with relatively low liquidity, meaning large sells can negatively impact the chart and investor confidence. We actively encourage our members to move away from the ‘I’ mentality in much of crypto to a ‘we’ philosophy nuturing growth and contribution. To maintain stability, holders are encouraged to:
Sell in small amounts ($100–$200 at a time and spread out bigger sells ) instead of large sell-offs.
Prioritise holding, building and earning passive rewards over frequent trading.
Be mindful of liquidity, as responsible selling strengthens the DAO for all members.
SPECULATE DAO FOUNDATION
On the journey to increase wealth for our community it is important we maintain a core value of contribution. There are many worthy causes across the Earth and we will actively support those that fit the criteria of the DAO.
40% of tax revenue from trading $SPEC is allocated to our foundation, which is dedicated to altruistic endeavours and supporting communities in need.
We have long and short term goals including:

Feeding the homeless
Supporting other meaningful humanitarian and environmental causes.

$SPEC digital asset works very similar to a share that provides a dividend to the holder.
There are a couple of noticeable differences:
There is no centralised company ownership. Speculate DAO is entirely community owned and there is no company.
$SPEC token ownership is your share of future profits.
Here is an example:
Jane buys 500,000 $SPEC from Uniswap. She now owns 0.5% of the total fixed supply of $SPEC ( 100 million )
The circulating supply of $SPEC is 50,000,000 or 50% of the fixed supply.
Jane owns 1% of the circulating supply.
All dividend distributions are based on the circulating supply so Jane is due 1% of the that pool.
Speculate DAO allows $SPEC holders exposure to a variety of crypto assets with one token rather than having to own many assets on various chains and increased complexity.
Think of this as a kind of index or basket of assets pegged to one, $SPEC.
This makes it an ideal project for those looking to minimise their educational journey in crypto whilst having exposure to a diverse range of assets across the risk spectrum.
Buying and selling the $SPEC token has a 5% fee. This fee is divided 60/40 into 2 addresses. The first is for Operations and the second is for the Speculate DAO Foundation
OUR INVESTMENTS
Investments at Speculate DAO are decided by a group of $SPEC token holders called the Speculator VIPs.
These holders each hold in excess of 500,000 $SPEC tokens.
This amount enables them to make proposals for investments that the remaining VIPs get to vote on.
This democratises the investment process and allows all of that group a voice and a vote.
Speculate DAO has some incredible investments in diverse projects within the web3 realm including AI, Decentralised Finance, Real World Asset Tokenisation, Telegram Bot Solutions, Privacy and Advertising.
The VIPs then decide on the take profit levels.
The objective with these investments is to build the Speculate DAO treasury with assets not directly linked to the $SPEC token that will inturn act as a stable anchor and fuel growth.
Investments are made into various sectors and also a diverse spectrum of risk.
On profit levels being achieved some of the higher risk investments are ear marked for dividend distribution to the rest of the $SPEC token holder community.
DIVIDENDS
The $SPEC token ownership is a % share of the profitable decisions made by the Speculator VIPs.
The more successful they are the larger the dividends become.
The rate of distribution is determined by the Speculator VIPs through proposals and voting.
In the first year of operation over $30,000 was earned and distributed.
To qualify for these dividends $SPEC holders must increase their token ownership between 2 randomly taken snapshots.
They are alerted to the first snapshot through social channels and then have the obligation to increase their holdings before the next one.
This mechanism becomes gamified the more frequently the distribution schedule happens, meaning holders must stay engaged to qualify.
The more $SPEC you own the larger share of the dividends you receive.
